Woodinville, Washington artist Pat Dugan is a native of Long Island, New York. She received her Bachelors Degree in Art from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and her Masters Degree in Art Education from New York University. She has taught art in New York, Connecticut, Washington, Maryland and Hawaii. A free lance artist, Pat specializes in historic buildings, churches and homes, in which capturing details are a characteristic feature. She has concentrated on marine subjects, particularly lighthouses, as well as flowers. Her media include watercolor, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink and more recently flower petals and leaves. After many years of painting watercolors of flowers, she was inspired by the wonderful variety of shapes and colors they exhibit. Her creative imagination led to making figures out of the flower petals. Her first series, “Dancing Ladies” was so well received that she decided to expand into other series. They include “Spirits from Above” (Angels), “Bugs, Birds & Beasts” , “Creatures from the Briny Deep”.etc. Each series is available in the following formats: Matted Prints, Note cards, Bookmarks and Calendars. |
